Confirmation

“Paul imposed his hands over them and the Holy Spirit came upon them” (Acts 9:6). 

This sacrament confirms, completes and strengthens the gift of the Holy Spirit received at baptism and enables one to be a firm and faithful witness of Jesus in the world. 

In the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Confirmation is received at 14 years old after a two year course of preparation.  Adults who are not confirmed can participate in an adult sacraments class which is normally 9 months.
